Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, Inner Wheel members, friends and families,

Roger and I, along with our hard working 2011 Conference Team,  are delighted for the opportunity to welcome you to our beautiful Virgin Islands and to St. Thomas.  As we celebrate our conference theme, The Nature of Rotary, you will be surrounded by the natural beauty of our islands and will, we hope, spend time in learning the part you and your clubs can play in preserving the special natural gifts that our island nations offer.

The conference in St. Thomas in April 2011 will be an opportunity to celebrate and showcase the work of our organization both locally and internationally. This year each of our clubs will be continuing the historical work of Rotary in Building Communities and Bridging Continents for this is The Nature of Rotary and this is the year when we strive to do take on Bigger challenges, with Better and Bolder projects and commitments.

We hope you will enjoy your stay here and that you will take advantage of the mini-vacations offered across the water by our sister islands of St. Croix, St. John and Tortola. Each has its own unique character and special blend of Caribbean culture – an opportunity not to be missed.

I am, as I know you are, proud of our Clubs and of our District. We are special, we are unique and we are dedicated to improving our communities and our world – what better reason could we have for gathering each year and celebrating all that we aspire to. So take the time to join us to learn, to grow and to share the Nature of Rotary as we commit to continue to follow our motto of Service Above Self.

With thanks to you all
